Your guide

I am Chris Hendriks  and born and raised in the  Netherlands.

I started in 1999, with traditional fly fishing and moved in 2005 to Sweden to study at the Sportfishing Academy, which I graduated off in 2007. During and after this education I started guiding and I have gained international experience as an intern guide during 1 season in Sweden, and 2 seasons experience as an intern-guide in Tasmania, Australia. After these internships I worked 3 years as a regular employed fishing guide in Trysil, Norway.

Because of my traveling i speak fluently Dutch, English, Norwegian,Swedish and my German and Danish are okay.

This was before I started my own guiding service in  2012, Chris Hendriks Fishing- Experiences

I have a passion for rivers, creeks and their landscapes. Especially when using both the traditionall fly- fishing rod and tenkara rods to benifit to the fullest off all the advantages that both rods have to offer. Using these different approaches and combining them with the techniques nymphing, dry fly fishing, wet fly fishing and the combo dry fly / nymph is where I really shine.

During my guiding I try to combine tenkara and traditional fly fishing in such a way that it will change the way you fish in a much more exciting and effective way! It will literally change the way you look at fly fishing forever and you will see that fly fishing doesn’t have to be so complicated!

As a Fly fishing Guide I find it very important to keep myself updated with the newest developments and techniques. I myself, take regular courses or guided trips to improve my own skills as a fisherman, and how to teach what I have learned up on to my guests so they can benifit from my knowledge.
